02: Gryphon Learning Educational CD's

After the initial free seminar, you should have received a Gryphon Learning 'Trading for Success' CD. This is an educational CD that is designed to take you through some information about trading. It will also show you how to read and understand the signals given by the BOF and EWS trading system.

Note: These CD's will not enable you to test out the Gryphon tools (EWS, BOF, Hawkeye etc.) They are purely for educational purposes. If you're wanting to try out these indicators you will need to sign up for a PhoenixAI data subscription which is explained in the next section.

Once you have attended the Gryphon 2 day workshop, you will receive another 3 CD's. These are:

When putting any of the CD's listed above into your CD ROM drive, the "Gryphon Learning Install Selector" pop up screen will appear. It looks like this:

Install Personal Study Manager: This installs the Personal Study Manager. The Personal study manager is a program that allows you to run any of the Gryphon Educational CD's. This program only needs to be installed once and it will work for all of your CD's.

Software Activation: This will allow you to find out about the activation status of your Gryphon Learning account.

Installing the Personal Study Manager.

Remember: The Personal Study Manager can be installed from any of the educational CD's and only needs to be installed once. If you have already installed it, skip to Using the Personal Study Manager.

Step 1: Click on 'Install Personal Study Manager'.

Step 2: Follow the prompts to install the software. For more information on each and every step of the installation click this link: http://www.gryphonlearning.com.au/gnew/imiddleware.php

Step 3: When the installation has completed, if the pop-up screen is still there, click EXIT.

Step 1: If you haven't already done so, put in the Gryphon Learning educational CD of your choice into the CD-ROM drive. For this example we'll be using the 'Trading for Success' CD, but these principles can be used for any of the Gryphon Learning CDs.

Note: If, when you put the CD into the CD Rom drive, the 'Gryphon Learning install selector' window pops up, close it by clicking EXIT.

Step 2: Then double click on the green 'Gryphon Learning' icon on your desktop. This will bring up a login page.

Step 3: Enter your Gryphon Learning user credentials and click on 'Click here to login to study'.

Note: If you are using Windows Vista you will get an error message come up. This is because this software was not written specifically for Windows Vista. Just click 'OK' and it will continue to run.

Step 4: Select 'Wealth creation' by double clicking on it. When it is selected it will have a yellow, open book next to it with a black background.

Step 5: Select 'Trading for success'. (For different CD’s choose the corresponding option. Ie. If you've inserted the ‘New Power User’ CD – Choose ‘New Power User’).

Step 6: Then click 'Click here to choose topics and lessons' at the bottom of the screen.

Step 7: In this step you are required to select a topic. Each topic contains several lessons. For this example select 'Introduction to the EWS: Early Warning System'.

Step 8: As you can see, once a topic has been selected, the corresponding lessons will appear in the next step. For this example select 'Break out fast indicator'.

Step 9: Then click 'Click here to start studying a local lesson' at the bottom right hand side of the screen.

Note: DO NOT click 'click here to start studying a lesson on the web' because it won't work. This button is only functional with other courses.

Trouble Shooting: If you can't click the 'Click here to start studying a local lesson' because it's grayed out click here.

Note: If you are using Windows Vista you will get a few more error messages come up at this point. This is because this software was not written specifically for Windows Vista. Just click 'OK' and it should continue to run with out a hitch.

Step 10: This will get you into the lesson for the 'Break out fast indicator'. To navigate through the lesson use the controls at the top and right of the screen. When you get to a video, use the play, pause & stop buttons at the bottom right.

When you have finished this lesson, click 'EXIT' (Top right of screen) and make a new selection in step 4. When you've been through all the selections in step 4, change the topic in step 3 and new lessons will become available (refer to step 7 & 8).

Step 11: Once you've finished the CD, click 'Back' at the top right hand side of the screen. This will take you back to choosing your course and CD.
