Student Handbook: Recognition of Gryphon Learning courses

What Gryphon Learning courses are recognised by other institutions?

Nationally Recognised Training

All Registered Training Organisations must recognise Qualifications and Statements of Attainment issued by Gryphon Learning for nationally recognised qualifications and Units of Competency. If you have completed a Unit of Competency as part of a Gryphon Learning Course, you may be able to gain credit towards a Diploma or Advanced Diploma qualification at another RTO, TAFE or University.

Industry Short Courses listed on the ASIC Training Register

ASIC recognised that each of the Gryphon Learning Courses listed on the ASIC Training Register covers the minimum requirements (under RG146) for advising clients on the relevant financial product. Students who complete one of these courses gain Statements of Attainment for five Diploma-level nationally recognised Units of Competency.

Continuing Professional Development Courses

ASIC, various industry organisations, as well as Financial Services Licensees, require that advisers on financial products engage in continuing professional development to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to satisfactorily perform their duties. It is the responsibility of the Financial Services Licensee to decide whether a particular course is adequate for its own advisers. A number of organisations and employers have developed customised CPD with Gryphon Learning to meet their own, their Industry Organisation's and ASIC's requirement. If you have completed CPD with Gryphon Learning and transfer to a new employer, you should discuss your CPD with your new Training or Compliance Officer.

Other courses

Many Gryphon Learning courses give students plenty of opportunity for self-assessment, but do not involve formal assessment, and so are not recognised by other institutions.
